there is no reason you cant burn a data CD with a .dmg or .exe file which would be the install file for the software. You could even burn a .dmg as an image file.
just remember your auth. codes.

Generally, i believe most engineers who want a dead center snare would place the OH mics in such a way that the snare drum sounds centered when they are panned hard left and right. if you dont already have an i lock you will need one to update, 1st reason I haven't yet. 2nd, I still rember the headache of going from 5 to 6. I just found these yesterday on sweetwaters site, which also happens to be the only place they are for sale. Some digging revealed they were released around the end of march. have you ever repaired your disk permissions?
if you did alot of installing, downloading and deleting before you installed PT, and didnt repair your permissions, it is possible that the installaton could be corrupted.
Try repairing the permissions in the disk utility application that comes with OSX.
