Re: Everyone that can read Japanese

no worries dude. my wife is japanese and translated it, on the second look she said "ah, yes, should be `some day` and `earth` instead of 'one day` and `world`", so the translation into kanji/kana is perfect.

nice tattoo dude.

my only tattoo is a symbol based upon the kabbalistic tree of life.

Re: 48KHz vs. 44KHz

hey folks,

thanks for all the informative replies. i think i will stick to generating, recording, processing and mixing at 32bit floating point 44KHz, as i often do a lot of digital post processing.

Re: favorite pedal

boss dc-2 dimension c - a pedal version of the roland dimension d. they are both very subtle analogue effects for adding space and movement to tracks. similar to chorus but without all that underwater swirlyness. it works amazingly well on most things, but really shines on synth pads, and sounds inc...

48KHz vs. 44KHz

an age old debate: i have been told that i should record at at least 48KHz and then downsample to 44KHz at the end only for CD writing. however i usually just record at 44KHz. everything i record is 32bit floating point. this means that when i come to write a CD all i have to do is dither down to 16...
