For finacial reasons I have to sell mine, though it breaks my heart, and honestly folks I'm really not trying to hard to sell it, because I still love to caress its' awkward brown face. It stares at me from a distance in the control room proped up sideways watching in jealousy as I yet do another fu...

Yea, I read the Purple Audio Biz review right after posting. Duh! Anyhoo, I think it is a great way to "save up" for some nice stuff. I'm in, uh after I update my MAC OS, update to PT LE 7.whatever, get an additional SPDIF preamp, get my Digi 002 modified, get another 19" flatscreen, fix all these b...

Question about "lunchbox"? Is this for real?
Duders, I'm looking for a new mic pre. This lunchbox thing is appealing and all, with all of its modularity. Hey dudes, I've been UTFSE, and I kinda understand what is going on, I just wanted to confirm, that lotsa different manufactuers make pres, comps and eqs for these things. So you could buy a ...

No mute buttons? Mine has on/off switches. Isn't that the same thing? Does yours have a mix a & b xlr direct outs on each channel? I love the sound of my 1516. The matrix is pretty rad for live applications (feeding multiple stereo sources all day long). Everything is balanced and quiet on my 1516. ...

Yea-it's the quarter of death metal until January, the halloween type theme goin' on. I dont know if I wanna ever change it though....I like halloween. It seems as though we go thru phases around here, It'll be all jam bands for 6 months, then hip hop for another 4, then wacky rock n roll, and now i...

Dudes, whatta bout a "hot plate" or the Marshall "power break"? You can use those to get the Vox Ac30, Fender Twin or Super, or what have you break up at quieter levels. But for me, I ain't draggin out my sweet vintage amp collection to a heavy rock n roll gig in the middle of winter. Solid State fo...

Dudes, metal bros, I just did monitors for that Hatebreed "monsters of Mayhem tour" with Napalm Death, Exodus, Despised Icon, First Blood, and Black Dahlia murder. That was a fun fun day. I'm going to go check out this Rotten Sound stuff. That grindy sound is harder to get than everybody thinks. Gai...

My favorite Bass at the moment is a $60 Harmony that was built with love. It is quieter than a Rickenbacker. My favorite Distortion pedal for a bass at the moment is a $20 russian distortion pedal. It dosent roll off all the low end. We use "Road" heads. (heh. road. head.) Anyhow, my favorite bass r...

I own a yamadawg 1516, which is the same family. For the 150 bucks I spent, it was a steal. Completely modular, nice transformer tone, these things IMHO are a steal. I love it for guitars and basses, these pre amps can handle super loud program material great. The direct outs on my board are pre fad...
