I could do to spend a little more time with real-world examples of current/resistance/voltage in various circuits. I think working thru some power supply theory would be helpful in this regard.

Can you do RIMS-type mounts on both toms, then mount gibralter or Pearl arms onto the RIMS, then drop them onto a triple multi-clamp, which then attaches to the existing post? Does that make sense?

Rod, those are exactly the same conditions under which my amp would redplate. And the only condition that would remedy it was to put in a more robust tube than a 6L6GC.
