If an attendant scoffs, I pull out a screwdriver and begin taking the neck off. A couple of turns and they find a spot for it behind some seat or bulkhead. I'm assuming you haven't done this in the last 8 years or so? I checked a Jackson shredder type guitar in its standard hardshell case in the la...

Ah, that makes perfect sense. Confirms my dopiness too. I may just return the A/B box, chock the Redco Y cable up to a learning lesson and hope I have a need for it someday, and get a pedal loop.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I know about the jack and footswitch. I'm trying to bypass it when not in use.

A/B switch, Y cable, Reverb tank--what's wrong?

Hi, Let me preface my post by saying I know a looper pedal would probably do the trick better but I'm hoping to find out why what follows doesn't work. I want to use an A/B switch (I bought the DOD 270 a/b box) to route either straight to my amp OR to my reverb tank and then to my amp. I had Redco m...

Mixwizard 12:2 for monitoring and mixdown. I used external preamps for tracking.

Tallest Man on Earth--Shallow Grave Holy shit I have to get this record. Saw him last night the Troc and was blown away. Jeff I can't recommend it enough. I still listen front to back, over and over 8 months later. May well be in my all-time top 5. Phenomenal playing and great singing. Sounds to me...

I've got something by Cambridge Audio. Well-reviewed, sounds very good to me, @ $160.

What would be a good starting point as far as ratio and attack if one were going for this glue? Ignoring the obvious answers of use your ears, depends on the material, etc. Looking for some good starting points.

i forget the drummer's name, but boy does he ever get a good sound outta his tubs. John Convertino. Absolutely amazing drummer. I've seen them live 5 or 6 times--including this past August at the Newport Folk Fest. Everytime time it's been hard to watch anything but his playing and the awesome feel...

I can't help you but you may want to check out the 'Analog Only' forum at homerecording.com/bbs . There's a ton of Tascam talk going on there and quite a few knowledgable folks.

I wish people here talked about the whole writing==playing/singing==recording==promoting cycle more. When you're doing your own stuff, the recording part is like 10% of it. How to get something worth recording, and get anyone curious to hear it . . . there's the challenge. 'People Skills' seems lik...
