You should definitely check out the Fairchild 660 plugin. It's nothing short of the best plugin compressor I've heard. I actually use it more than some of my nice outboard compressors.

I just started working at a studio that just got both the 20/20's and Mackie HR624's. Everyone so far has liked the Events better. Why not pick up a second set of completely different monitors to have in addition to your old ones. I'll bet for the price of some Mackie powered monitors (which I don't...

A good rule of thumb for ohm loads is you can pour smaller into bigger. 4 ohm into 8 or 16, 8 into 16, but not the other way around. Preamp tubes can be mismatched but amps usually sound better with matching tubes. Also, usually preamp tubes won't harm amps because they receive a very low voltage. P...
