I love the build in the drum track on "To Love Somebody" - the way in the first half of a verse, it's straight and restrained, but as it rolls into the second half, the snare and kick get more insistent... pretty brilliant little touch.

Part of it could very well have to do with the way you're recording it, too. If you're using an onboard pickup, you're just not going to get the sort of overtones and boominess you'll hear by ear (or with certain mics and micing positions) in a room as you flail away at the bass strings.

I really like the mood and the texture you've got - the subdued guitar veiled within the reverby ocarina sounds great with the dry vocal. One thing you might try is letting the ocarina decay more fully at the end of the track; it seems to be just a bit too quickly faded away.
