FS: Personus Digimax LT 8 channel Preamp with lightpipe out

Almost perfect condition. I've had it for about 7 months. Selling because I'm mostly tracking singer/songwriters and sequencing drums with bfd. So I don't need the unit. The only 2 places it's been are the box and racked in a clean smoke-free studio. It has about 20 hours on it total. I don't know i...

haha...i wish i had enough to give you. This is being paid for by an indie label that has me recording and producing (writing string arrangements, programming drums, arranging, etc) some artists...so i'm gonna try to get as much from them as possible

I'm thinking about going from pc to g5...i need suggestions

I have a 2.6 ghz 1 gig of ram laptop pc running logic 5.5.1 and nuendo 2.0. I really love logic and I'm disappointed that I cannot get any upgrades for pc. I can get Logic Pro for $195 as an upgrade instead of the $1000 dollar msrp. So i started thinking... Maybe I should get a dual 1.8 g5 with a gi...

Re: Favorite funky snare sound

chad sexton of 311 has the coolests snare sound i've ever heard...and it mainly comes from his technique...he's incredibly technical and probably my favorite drummer.

i don't want to "mix" outside the box...but i want

ok...I am using nuendo with a 2.6 pentium, 1 gig of ram laptop. My interface is a motu 828 mkII. I want to record at 24/96. I want to use Nuendo's mix capabilities (plugins, routing), but I want to sum the signal together outside, ideally keeping my pan information from nuendo (even though that seem...

Re: sample rate questions

IMHO, The capture rate will affect your overall sound. Tracking at 88.2, and having a bunch of tracks, I always notice an amount of clarity and depth (simple explanation) to the tracks as I listen to the mixes. I prefer 88.2 as a capture rate for acoustic instruments, then go to 44.1 for the two tr...

Re: Audio Schools?

Listen...i graduated from full sail...this is the thing...i saw the people that sat in the class sleeping and acting like they knew more than the teachers...then in lab, they would want to mess around instead of actually paying attention. Then when we graduated, these were the same people calling Fu...

It's good to see some people question the quality of a digital process like this.
Haha...good idea...i'll do that. Yeah i don't want to do anything to downgrade the quality of an already digital sound.

sample rate questions

I currently record at 24 bit, 44.1 kHz. I was doing this because I master my own music in wavelab 4.0 and was scared of the sample rate converters within that program. I would ideally like to record at 88.2kHz. Is the sample rate conversion in Wavelab, high enough quality to justify recording at thi...
