Re: Black Lion Audio Contact Info.
Always hate to hear things like this. I've read some posts in the past by this guy and he seemed to be a good guy and very helpful. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it definitley doesn't sound good. I can't imagine treating people that way. There can't be enough money in someth...

Re: pedal / stomp box housings?
Also, if you happen to be fortunate (?) enough to have a Fry's in your area, they carry the hammond boxes. A few more $ than buying online, but close and can give you instant gratification if in a bind.

Re: BB option for syteks
I have 2 channels' BB and two "stock" I use the BB's more, but would not want to be without the stock channels. They shine on clean acoustic, overheads and some voices. I find myself using them a lot for bg vox. It's great to have two flavors and I think you save a buck or two leaving it in that con...

Re: RIP Darrel "Dimebag" Abbot
horrific.
those guys are very well thought of around here (dallas) and this in indeed a sad day for music regardless of your personal tastes.
the initial shock is starting to wear off and I find myself feeling very sad. very sad.
such a blatant disregard for human life and talent.

Re: mic stands
I ran into this guy at some show a while back, He makes great large boom stands that colapse down for transport and they are relatively cheep. I think their 14' one is about $350 http://www.airrsupport.com/ not bad. any thoughts on how to do something similar with speaker stands? You can pick up de...

No clue on the mics but I did notice when I saw them a few months ago that their monitors are behind them.
They did rock, btw.

Re: mic stands
I read somewhere about converting speaker stands to mic stands. Anyone have the skinny on this? It would seem to me that if you could somehow attach a boom to a speaker stand that would do the trick. And at a reasonable price given some of the prices I've seen for speaker stands.

Re: Rackmount Mixers?
bump!
I need a mixer (rack mount) for monitoring too. cheap, small. Needs at least on stereo out/return, headphone, and preferably at least 2 xlr's. Anything in existance that fits the bill?

Re: good 500$ monitors?
I went through a similar experience about 2 years ago. I ended up with the NHT Pro A-10 (little brother to the A-20), which are discontinued. If you can find a pair (with included power amp) they are great. They blew away anything I heard in the price range. I would be interested in getting a sub......

Re: Gadget Labs
It's not that I don't want it, I'm just curious how the converters compare to things on the market like the RME, Layla 3g, Motu, etc.
I would love to hear that it compares favorably, but have none of the above to compare it to.
