Check it out... iPhone 4-track!

I hope I didn't miss someone already posting this, but I thought it was too cool to not post. http://blog.wired.com/music/2008/11/a-four-track-re.html I just downloaded it. While it'll never replace your DAW/tape deck/244/whatever I'm going to dig having it available for sketching out ideas that pop...

If by 'high comedy' you meant "requires the help of illicit substances in order to be even remotely funny", you're probably right.

Yeah I'm not ashamed to admit that I just discovered John's music last week. I just bought Emerald City and I can't stop listening. I only knew him through wanting to record at Tiny Telephone and past Tape Op interviews talking about MK Ultra (that I never took the time to check out). His music is ...

George Terry is your dad? Cool... I really like his playing on the Clapton Blues live disc. At least, I think that's George Terry on that disc.

Fun pics... thanks for sharing.

It probably won't like it, but sometimes the most interesting sounds come from doing things that the product wasn't intended to do.

I'd like to use it not to 'correct' stuff but for creative manipulation and warping hell out of audio
Exactly. I've been eyeing Melodyne for a while but this puts it into 'must-have' territory for me.

EMS VC3 and other great analog synths, in VST/RTAS?

I'm looking for a great emulation of analog synths in VST and RTAS format. I know about IK's SonikSynth2, but I don't really need half the stuff in it. I'd just like a simple soft synth with some good sounds. I have Pro53 but I haven't really found it to be all that great for the sounds I'm looking ...

i'm not doing a very good job of describing... but the drum sounds on Mellon Collie get me air drumming like a fiend and the ones on Zeitgeist just kinda make me shrug. they're missing something. Yeah, I agree, the drums don't sound that great. Probably because the songs just aren't that great. I t...
