Pro Tools Printing mix Problem

this is kind of off the point but once someone told me never Eq or compress to tape... do it after....and i though..thats kinda stupid. Why not commit to tape, back your self and your ideas...and learn from it. If your always being unsure about your methods youll never grow as an engineer. Just has ...

ahh yes three over heads.... i think we might have 3 87's but would suggest using something a bit different for the middle? only one way to find out! (just try it) there's no wrong way to do it really. Put up one mic and listen. Put up another and move it until it complements the first one. If you'...

Keep in mind there's nothing at all wrong with mono... panning two guitars hard L and R makes sense because there are two guitars, but you don't HAVE to pan anything. Also, a very interesting sense of space can be created when you keep everything centered and only pan out effects returns. Stereo re...

We must always remember that some microphones for what ever reason aren't wired properly. so in order for the initial amplitude to be positive (assuming this is essential for NOTICEABLE accuracy), flipping the phase may be necessary. Also you mentioned time being the fourth dimension in which sound ...
