Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. You reminded me about this book just in time to ask for it for Christmas this year from my wife. Hopefully it will be under the tree!

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I have my ADI-2 as the master clock and the 1814 is slaving off of it. Haven't had any troubles with it set up that way. Your reply kind of makes me want to back off from the idea at the moment and keep that ADI-2. If anyone else has anything to add please chime on i...

RME ADI-2 vs. Profire 2626 (AD/DA conversion)

I am currently running an M-Audio 1814 with an RME ADI-2 for all my conversion, both AD and DA. Pro Tools MP 7.4. I am considering selling both of these pieces and replacing them with a Profire 2626. My reason being more ins and outs of decent conversion, ability to actually come out $100 ahead or m...

I've been using burlap so far on the ones I made. But I've got 7 more
panels to make, and I'm considering looking at what Walmart has. Burlap takes a while for the smell to go away too,
not that it's a horrible smell, but it's a little annoying. The
roll I got was quite dusty too.

I used to use a bass amp, in an empty bedroom that had the carpet
stripped out of it. A guitar amp might work better, though I always
liked the results I got with the bass combo amp.

Real cheap DIY reamp device?

Anyone know of a surefire way to pick up some radio shack style parts and build a simple re-amp device?

I love my RNC. And the built quality is not horrible like some people like to report. The casing is NOT plastic as I've read in some places. The small bezel frame around the front and back of the unit is plastic, but the actually casing itself is metal. I've seen the same generic cases used around o...

I work most often with a Fender Blue Jr. thru an Avatar 2x12 (the mixed cab with one vintage 30 and one G12H Anniversary, open back cab). I always get real good tones out of this. The 2x12 makes all the difference, and you even get slightly different tones depending on which speakers you mic up). I ...

I love the Elastic Audio feature. I became an instant addict. I have to stop myself from making everything toooo perfect. I all over that for locking up guitar accents and stuff like that. Also, locking the bass guitar in with the
kick and snare.

very cool, thanks for sharing that.

I do audio/visual for a major pharma company, and I always wanted to see some behind the scenes at an event like that.
