anyone got a tsr-8 parts machine?
I'm just looking for a channel card to replace one that's going bad in mine.
At least I hope that's what it is.
I've got one channel that I can only use with the NR on. When I try to play back with NR off, channel 7 just roars and doesn't playback.
Anyone got a spare card to sell?

Re: for those interested or not. pixies
.if the mindset is that a band like Pixies has a lot of dough, so why do they hafta do this or that, well, you may be wrong wrong wrong. i think that "for the dough" is EXACTLY why they're doing this. no big deal. They were a great band, and I still like Frank Black's stuff. but, with all of the sh...

Re: for those interested or not. pixies
I love the Pixies. but, $25 for a live cd that's mixed live on the spot and mastered instantaneously?? I wonder what preset they'll use? ;) sounds like they'll be making $25,000 per show for selling board mixes! not bad work if you can get it. "hey, this sounds like shit!" "uh, sorry, but we got it ...

Re: Polyphonic Spree - WTF
Check out their song on the "Bonaroo live" double disc thing, their 30 piece band beats the pants off the Flaming Lip's ADATs (or whatever they're using for playback now) and is a much more apropriate comparison than Unwound. live maybe.... though, the Lips have been touring with a live drummer lat...

yeah... but, it sucks to have to put up with such stupid opinions all the time! ;) I also enjoy the irony of all of the FoxHeads complaining about bowling for columbine. fair and balanced! ha! as far as Wilco is concerned.... I'm puzzled as to why people (including myself to a certain extent) try so...

Falkner rules!!!
but, McCartney.... eh..... lost his cool a long, long time ago.
why do so many people blame yoko for breaking up the beatles, when it was clearly paul the dictator who killed the vibe?

Re: $20G to spend on protools set up
if it were just for me and I wasn't planning on taking clients, I wouldn't even fuck with Pro Tools.
I'd go with DP or Nuendo with a couple uad-1's and powercores... your money will go much farther that way.

Macs don't really require all of the "optimizations" that PC's do.

no kidding here! I've got a pair. 1 is talkback, and the other is doorstop.TapeOpLarry wrote:Doorstop. Just kidding, it's too light. Actually I've never used one and better shut up now.
they're also useful sometimes if I'm looking for a weird sound.

Re: Oktava MK219 - $29.99!
I love all of my Oktavas, EXCEPT the 219's.
I use one for talkback, and one for a door stop.
don't know if I'd sell them THAT cheap, though.
in a few years they'll be "vintage" and I can surely get $50 each for 'em, right?
