I have a Yamaha DX27 and breath controller just sitting in a box (I should ebay it but don't want to mess with postage/shipping/etc.). Everything still works I think, but the keyboard doesn't do 'velocity senstive' if that's important.

Red Epiphone SG "Bully" for 80 bucks at a flea market, with padded gig bag. It's pretty nice, the toggle is a little flaky but I can replace that.

And Autotuned vocals, unfortunately.

Could the timing be adjusted by mixing helium or CO2 with the air in it? This this sounds fun.

Here's my take (should show up as a 24 bit/48khz wav file that's been zipped). I pasted the first couple bars of the Bowie version onto the front of the track, for synchronization purposes.

I had to edit a couple of false starts. I stuck the beginning drum part on my file for alignment purposes...

I recorded a fairly simplistic bass part (mostly following the root from the guitar riffs) yesterday, I will try it again with your new mix and see if it still fits. If you get somebody good that's all slappy/poppy I would use that.

I would recommend doing the RPM Challenge, it's along the same lines as some of the previous posts here. And why am I still at the computer tonight....

Ha! That was fun, I better start practicing for next year. I bet WXRT would play this, if it was U2 instead of us.
