vvv -
I have a Yamaha DX27 and breath controller just sitting in a box (I should ebay it but don't want to mess with postage/shipping/etc.). Everything still works I think, but the keyboard doesn't do 'velocity senstive' if that's important.

Red Epiphone SG "Bully" for 80 bucks at a flea market, with padded gig bag. It's pretty nice, the toggle is a little flaky but I can replace that.

Could the timing be adjusted by mixing helium or CO2 with the air in it? This this sounds fun.

Here's my take (should show up as a 24 bit/48khz wav file that's been zipped). I pasted the first couple bars of the Bowie version onto the front of the track, for synchronization purposes.

Still need someone to record this? What's 24/48? Bits? Word length? Gigawatts? (oops probably 24 bit at 48 khz, that'll teach me to type faster than I read) I don't know what an SRC is either. At least you didn't pick "John, I'm Only Dancing". Great bass part, I don't think I could do that one justi...

http://www.yousendit.com/download/dVlxb2VITmF6NE4zZUE9PQ Used the new mix to play along to. I recorded it dry (well I had a beer at dinner), P-bass (picked) thru POD 'tube preamp' w/compression. I had to edit a couple of false starts. I stuck the beginning drum part on my file for alignment purposes...

I recorded a fairly simplistic bass part (mostly following the root from the guitar riffs) yesterday, I will try it again with your new mix and see if it still fits. If you get somebody good that's all slappy/poppy I would use that.

Ha! That was fun, I better start practicing for next year. I bet WXRT would play this, if it was U2 instead of us.

I just got ours uploaded, fake band name is "Texturions" and the 2009 album is called "Otis". Download away. http://texturions.rpmchallenge.com/ Lots of fun as always, I think this time we actually had a full set of songs. Probably could have used another couple of nights to mix, rather than 2 a.m. ...

Isn't this called "preverb"?

"Let My Love Open the Door" - Pete Townshend (the backing vocals)
Several Gary Numan songs around the Telekon - Dance era have this effect as well.
