Sounds like your bass & acoustic are fighting for the same FREQ. Singer can be a little more melodic - kinda "pitchy" in spots. Nice textures though and airyness about it.

I think you should go D.I. This way, you can always reamp to another track if it becomes available. Plus D.I. offers a lot of detail which might sound great in a punk situation - allowing the bass to cut through and be heard. And the Sans-Amp is a fantastic choice. You might also try turning down the amp. Sometimes a little less volume and a little less distortion can help enlarge the tone. This is one of the MOST HELPFUL tips offered in this post.
