I thought digi relesed pro tools m-powered and LE universal binaries. maybe i miss read something. I don't really think you going to get some serious sweet analog sounds from a mic untill you're in the $500 plus per channel range. You will get different sounds, but not jaw dropping stuff. The TAPCO ...

I modded a Boss MT-2 metal zone with info from Guitartone.net. I know you said not metal but mods he give you acctually make it way more versatile. It is still kind of mesa bogner like but its not too crazy. I think i spend about 5 bucks at radio shack to do the mod.

I got an Ephiphone Valve Standard a few months ago and love it. Its a bit noisey but wont be a problem for playing live. If you were serious about recording you might try to get in there and fix it. Lots of people have been raving about these sence they came out. I got the biggest one. 12" 15w its c...

Pro tools hasn't released software to run an HD system with the intel macs. DP just barely came out with universal binaries (but costs $200 to upgrade). MOTU's PCI gear dosen't work with the MAC pro, yet. Apogee seems to be ahead of these other hardware giants. Other than that. It dosen't seem to be...

WOW YES higher fequency waves travel faster. How many times have you seen a speaker built with the tweeter set back from the sub. Earthworks, KRK, B & W all have done this. They call it time coherent. The speed of sound also changes with temprature and humidity. Lee, im sure you have a problem with ...

Past studies have found that MODERATE alchohol use is good for hearing(it is a vasodilator which allows more blood flow to the very small vessels in the auditory canal). Alcohol *definitely* aggravates tinitus. One beer is like 6-10 db increase in my tinnitus. Yeah were the plugs in the car for sur...

The other day my left ear had been feeling weird all day. Like weird pressure from allergies (maybey). So when on the drive home it got crazy. All of the sudden my ear felt like it closed up. Like someone crammed a ton of cotton in there. and pressure was just getting worse. So I got home a little w...

Ive got a chunk of 2"x4" about 8 inches long. I drilled holes that fit (tightly) XLR male, XLR female and 1/4" male jacks. Its really simple and effective. Also don't forget to tin both the wire the and jack terminal. If you get enough solder on both parts your tring to glue together than you should...
