Check out the Adk Vienna or Hamburg 300$ each
or the TC tube Mic for around 500
these mics sound great and are a cut above the studio projects and Rode mics that are in the under 500$ range

should be 200-350 for that little thing. They are the smallest power supply I have ever seen for a console that size... I used to have one. email allen heath in england and get the schematic....and ask what type of connector they used to plug into the console.... I would try to see if eddie celetti ...

They can handle 499
find a tech that can set it up for you.
you will need a MRL tape for 1/2 inch multitrack
once the machine is set up well it will sound better and have less hiss

Did you setup the machine for 499
bias and cal etc.
you can do a +6 cal
+9 is a stretch on those machines

hey
use quantegy 499 tape
less hissy then 456 and can take the heat
those 2 headed decks are a pain to cal so get some help if you have never done it
