why do so many soft synths refuse to run on OSX 10.4? i mean, it's been around long enough that you'd think compatibility problems would have been resolved by now... Frustrating story: all the macs on my college campus got upgraded to 10.4 BEFORE anyone realized Kontakt and a whole shitload of Nativ...

I just thought of a test... one that I don't have time to do, though. Upload the same track to the four different slots on a MySpace band account, one with each of four bit rates (and perhaps one in VBR) For example: 128 kbps CBR 128 kbps VBR 192 kbps CBR 256 or 320 kbps CBR (file size permitting)....

Sometimes I'll sweep around 1kHz to 3kHz and try some rips in that region to "smooth" out the cymbals & that sometimes helps the hats. i'd check the range around 5kHz too; since your ear is the most sensitive to these frequencies it's really easy to notice when you've got too much hi-hat. drives me...
