Re: Drum Mixing in Pro Tools LE

Is there something wrong with the way you're doing it - soundwise, that is? Are you just looking for other ideas or ??

The way you're doing it sounds fine - I wouldn't necessarily change it unless you're not happy with the results you're getting.

Re: How do you hook up outboard Equipment to Digi 002?

Connect the reverb to an open set of inputs and outputs on the 002. Create a stereo Aux Input track and insert the Lexicon on it by going to an insert and choosing Interface>Analog ** (** being the inputs and output you connected the Lexicon to on the back of the 002). Change the input tab of the Au...

Re: making my Digi 002 the default audio path?

Actually, he's on a G5, so all you need to do is install the Core Audio driver, then read the instructions included with the download to learn how to use it.

Re: Allen & Heath MixWizards ... anything special?

We have used A&H mix wizards live for quite awhile - we like them so much we have 2!! Now, though, we're only using them for monitor mixing - we recently got a Yamaha 03D for the main mixer and, I must say, I'm REALLY diggin' it! The cool things about the 03D: 1. It wasn't terribly expensive - got m...

CA Universities were FREE in the 60's?

I just found out that in-state tuition for CA residents attending CA universities (Berkeley, for one) was FREE at least through the late 60's.

So - what happened? Why were we able to provide that then and not now?

Re: Pro Tools 6.4 wave driver problem

Which application are you using for playback? The 6.4 Wavedriver can now work on the same computer as the ASIO driver, the limitation being that the WD has to have an 'opt-in' list. If the app you're using for playback isn't in the 'opt-in' list, it won't play thru the WD. First you should read the ...

You can't - unless you can create a pattern on the Electribe that has several blank measures before the measure you want it to actually play on.

Re: converting from ProTools to other editor

Only if those audio files were time-stamped and if your new program can read time-stamped audio. Either way you're in for a whole lotta headache. A better idea would be to find someone with PT, open those sessions and consolidate all the audio on each track, then export as audio files, which you can...

btw - nice job spurring the economy with those tax cuts. I personally have seen quite a benefit from that $300 check I received two years ago - my property taxes are up again! God Bless the Conservatives! It's all they have going for them. And this has exactly "what" to do with the Feds? BTW - My p...

Frou Frou - Psychobabble Faithless - English Summer Bjork - Joga, Bachlorette, Isobel and, of course, Hyperballad (I thought she was trite and bombastic for quite awhile, too - until I listened to it again as if I had no idea who she was - then I heard the brilliance in her music...).
