FS - LINE 6 FM-4 PROJECT

My loss is your gain. The mode pot on my FM-4 was loose and wasn't controlling reliably, so I called line 6 and they sent me 4 replacement pots. I decided to replace 4 of the pots that were loose, including the mode pot, thinking it would be a simple fix. Apparently my soldering skills are weak, bec...

The whole point of this thing is handheld fun. The thing is tiny. Maybe they'll do something bigger if this takes off. I predict urban outfitters will be selling a boatload of these for Xmas.

FS: Italia Maranello guitar

Italia Maranello Speedster. Everyone is always very impressed by how this guitar looks and sounds. The build quality is amazing. Stays in tune and sounds massive. No mods or repairs. It's in excellent condition and all-original. http://www.tdpri.com/telephoto/data/590/medium/Italia.jpg $400 + shippi...

I wholeheartedly concur.

Anyone who doesn't own this box set isn't living a full life.

I saw them live too a while back.

They are insanely tight.

This remix project is kind of a noise collage of their back catalog though. Sorta reminds me of the Boredoms Rebore albums but way more aggressive.

I saw the movie on a British Airways flight to London a couple of weeks ago. It was alright, but the music/recording technique aspects were really background to the British pop star/ music industry fluff, and the main focus of the story was Meek's descent into madness amid his gay relationships and ...

Weird melvins remix cd on the horizon

From rock-a-rolla.com: The long-in-gestation Melvins remix album, announced as far back as 2006, will finally see the light of day this year. Entitled Chicken Switch, the album sees a host of avant-garde and experimental artists re-interpreting Melvins tracks, with the?record expected in late Septem...

thanks for the tips. This cartridge is moving magnet type.

I already have the firewire interface - that's why I was supposing I'd run the phono preamp into it. Surely that would be better than my mac G5 soundcard, no?

oh, and yes - I used the search function - and read everything turntable-related on the site and didn't see this specific situation addressed.

Phono preamps - need advice

I am looking for a good phono preamp, to use in the near-term to convert vinyl to digital format, and maybe listening purposes down the road should the vinyl bug catch me. My question is this - for the purpose of recording stuff to computer, am I better off getting a standard phono pre and running i...
