it's pretty simple to set up. What makes it difficult in your situation is the lack of I/O. with 4 outputs and 4 inputs it's super simple. output 3 goes to your pedal input, pedal output goes to input 3. On a mono track go to the inserts, choose I/O 3. you will have level and impedance issues though...

While on the subject of maintaining space echos and tape delays. Head cleaning? some kind of alcohol + q-tips? Roller cleaning? some sort of detergent? Cleaning the felt pads? Installing a new tape loop? (I kinda figured it out on my own but not sure if it's right) I should dig out my Assistant AE h...

I LOVE my Space Echo RE-150 I got it last weekend at a Salvation Army auction for $225 CDN. The large black rubber roller did not move and the tape was somewhat stuck together. Some oil + moving the roller by hand and it was runnning in 30 minutes. There's a bit of wobble and pitch shift at times th...

Bootsy EpicVerb is a great new algorithmic verb. FREE! PC VST

Or TL Space, not $100 on it's own but is very inexpensive as part of the Music Production Toolkit. RTAS PC/MAC

I got a Roland RE-150 Space Echo at a Salvation Army auction for $225CDN. One of the rollers needed oil but it's working now and sounds SOOOO cool.

It's so nice to get outside the box, I want more now!

The cloud looks good.

I'd work on the corners of the room next. Since you get the stuff for free I'd do superchunk style traps. Maybe start with two opposite (diagonally) corners and see if you need more.

I use RazorLame most of the time. Unless I'm converting for my mp3 player, then it's Foobar 2000.

Both use the LAME codec. I usually disable filtering and do variable bitrate.

The one in iTunes isn't bad if you tweak the settings.

I try to keep things in FLAC as much as possible.

Combine that with some construction ear muffs for even better isolation.

The extreme Iso headphones are good, but not perfect.
Longer, thicker cable, from one side would be #1 on my list of improvements.

In that case, I've worked on Sgt Pepper, the Black album and every elvis record.

All Music does indeed suck too though.
