Diskwarrior. Thanks. My problem was that the drive wouldn't mount. DiskWarrior seems to require that the drive be mounted already. I tried mounting via the command line and using some Apple Script crap called MountMe which probably merely uses the same command line stuff I tried already. Thankfully...

New subject: What are folks using for backups/archiving?
I have an external drive with a ton of audio files on it, nearly 100GB. For some reason, the drive only shows up every now and then as a usable drive. I usually get CRC errors when I try to copy from it. Does anyone know of a good Mac based drive repair utility? Thanks in advance. It's time to inest...

Or one of those Chandler TG series sidecars. All joking aside, it's a sad story.djdrake13 wrote:Ya know I thought the same thing as I read it, but then I thought.. Must be a Behringer.jc_terrones wrote:I didn't know you could carry a $25,000 mixing board under your arm.

Studio gear for sale (Lower prices)
For sale: Tascam M2524 Mixer. Decent shape. Some of the volume pads are a bit noisy when pressing them. Other than that mixer works fine. It is a 24x8 recoring mixer with mic/line/insert/tape in/tape out on each channel. 4 aux sends. Midi mute. $500. 2 x 8 channel RCA to 1/4 snakes. 6 FT. $20 for bo...

Re: Mic suggestions for Loud guitar recording
How about's the $200 and less options?
I was thinking about giving that Sennheiser e609 a trial run.
When I say loud, I mean about half the juice of the JCM 900 SLX 50w. We were hovering around 3/4 juice (master volume amp) and then turned down and liked the behaviour of the amp better.

Mic suggestions for Loud guitar recording
I'd like to experiment with different mics while recording loud rock guitar. The guitar setup is a JCM 900SLX 50W, 79 Les Paul Custom. The mids and highs I get from using the SM57 are starting to wear on me a bit, no matter where I put the damn thing. I'm mostly using a flat EQ on my Tascam 24x8 boa...

Clock problems, Cubase, layla, AI3???
Hello, I am currently experiencing what I think is a clocking problem. My setup is the following: Cubase sx, Layla 24, Alesis AI-3(20 bit version). Cubase is set to 32 bit, 44.1. When I record I have the clock set to external Adat in the Layla control panel. When I record and playback with the clock...
