thanks all. i appreciate all the feedback. this is just something i've never had to do before so i was just curious about the implications/adwerse effects. i suppose i could have just asked him myself... i'd rather feel like a fool here where you can't see the bewildered look in my eyes!

so you mean i just take my stereo mix and split it to two SEPERATE files? one being left channel and one being right. why would this make any difference?

been creeping around for years. finally have a question i can't find an answer to...

just finished mixing a record for a band and they told me their ME wants double mono .wav's instead of stereo. what does this mean? i'm absolutely stumped. thanks in advance for the help!
