Re: Cheap Sleeper Fuzz Pedals for Guitar
Also, the Behringer SF300 gets a lot of love under US$50 - I've not tried it. This was going to be my suggestion. It's a clone of the Boss HyperFuzz, which itself is switchable between two different transistor-based fuzzes AND a good clean boost mode. I've used both the Boss original and the Behrin...

Re: Watch The Sound - Apple TV doc
We got a year of Apple TV free (from buying phones I guess). I need to see the McCartney thing too (no Hulu at the moment).digitaldrummer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 05, 2021 6:40 amthat's on my list. Watching McCartney 3,2,1 on Hulu right now. Also pretty good.

Watch The Sound - Apple TV doc
I watched the first 4 episodes (of 6 for "season one"), pretty good. Even the "Autotune" episode.

Quilter bass amp and cab - Bass Block 802 and BassDock 10.
Should be loud enough for potential gigs (and I can run my Markbass 2x10 cab with it for a little more oomph).

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
It's funny, I don't know that record at all. I'd read about the rubber bridge thing but had never really heard it in practice before this. It's an interesting sound. I don't love it enough to leave this guitar set up for it all the time but it takes seconds to swap out the bridge. I could probably ...

Re: Joe Gore
I like his gear reviews, and various hacks/mods he does with guitars and other equipment.

For some reason, maybe his appearance, I read everything he writes, in Dave Attell's voice.

Re: Recording Trends/Techniques that drive you nuts
Mmmm - Genesis/Phil Collins solo I'll see your Phil Collins drum sound, and raise with Bowie "Let's Dance", then Power Station "Some Like It Hot". Genesis (starting with And Then There Were 3 *, '78) and PC ('81) are late 70's, early 80's. Bowie ('83) and Power Station ('85) are a cuppla years afte...

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Thinking about doing the Jeff Tweedy rubber bridge thing with it but will likely live with it a bit first. I hated that sound at first, but the more I got used to the new record the more I enjoyed the distinct, tiny little guitar sound. It's like a less intrusive version of turning a piano into a t...

I think the blue LEDs can use these covers, YMMV.

Our fake band (Texturions) 14th entry in the "RPM Challenge" for 2021, now on bandcamp: https://texturions.bandcamp.com/album/charlatan-2 I can only take credit/blame for tracks 2 and 5, between isolation and an aggravating job, I wasn't in a "write and play 4 songs in a month" mood. I might've done...
