Awesome on vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar....and lord knows what else. it just so happens to be the single drum overhead I used on my album www.myspace.com/benlong (one mic drums) This MultiPattern Tube mic includes everything (propietary mic...

Can the H4n handle 5.1 surround tasks??? I would guess that with 4 mics it could be done, but maybe I need to better grasp surround specs in general

I've had the mbox1 since 2005 - it has seen more use than you could imagine and continues to be rock solid. In fact, It has worked perfectly through PT6.9 all the way to PT8. Whats funny is that I create music and sound for a living and have been relying on this mbox heavier than most would ever att...

Treating Door Cracks

is something I need to learn more about. I have a wooden door with a solid 1 inch gap at the bottom. There is maybe a 1/4 inch smaller space around the outside. I'm curious as to finding the best way to treat this. maybe something obtainable at a hardware store? The carpet is commercial cheap stuff.

Marshall recently sent me the Genesis to audition. I first tried it on female voice alongside my Studio Projects T3. The T3 won that test for sure. I like it my own voice though, but haven't tried it on anything else. I look forward to trying this on acoustic guitar.....

I am auditioning the MXL Genesis from Marshall. It generally sounds nice and full next to my Studio Projects T3.

The T3 is better on female voice IMO. THe Genesis is sounding great on my own voice though! I will try it on a few other sources soon

I just purchased the first copy from Guitar Center yesterday. The activation card was blank so I had to call and get the number. I haven't even opened a project yet but this seems like a "real' upgrade with all the VI's and effects. The MIDI funcionality is my main attraction as I mainly work in the...

wow  I had no idea people hated this band - it's gotta be jealousy - Hmmm well let's see. Becker/Fagan studied jazz and were fanatical fans of it in general. They took this non-manstream genre and turned it into something that regular folks could easily digest - GENIUS - todays "smooth jazz" ...

I've met Derek several times...great guy. He has declined offers for years from huge companies. It looks like he wanted out... I can't blame him The battle we should be concerned with invloves clear channel and terrible music. You really have to dig for great music these days. AM stations and intern...

I have run of the whole place. It's really a dream come true. I just want this mix room to be as flat as possible. I monitor at pretty low levels and use super small speakers. below is a link to the picture. You can see that above the drop ceiling tile is a ramped ceiling. I want to say it goes up t...

I just found out that this room is actually 16 x 14. Also, the actual ceiling above the tiles ramps up at a 2.5 grade along the 14 ft. side.

too bad! What's the word on Johns Manville 814 ? The 2 inch stuff is super cheap and I'm considering using it to make 4 inch thick panels. How does it compare with the OC 703 in performance ?

thanks for the replies. Did I mention this place is rent free?? ok so I'm not sure what was meant by the 2 or 3 ft deep wall on one side? I will certainly be making some bass traps but not sure if it's OC703 or 705 that I need. Has anyone experienced office cubicle walls as anything helpful in a roo...
