Re: Pork Pie Percussion all maple snare on sale at GC, worth
Those Pork Pie snares are pretty cool sounding if tuned right. I just recorded a band whose drummer had one of the Pork Pie snares and a Premier snare as well. On certain cuts the Pork Pie had more "pop" to it and cut through the song better. For $149.00 it's a great deal for a good second snare to ...

Re: DAE Error 9132
I did find that if you quit out of PT and then re-start, then you can do the bounce.

Alesis 24 trk and Prootools
Has anyone had any problems transfering Protools tracks to the Alesis 24 hard disk recorder and vice versa? The PT tracks I'm using are ver 6.3 from an HD 2 system and broadcast wav.

ATM 25 vs Pro 25
After reading the interview with Dave Minehan in this month's issue, I've been looking to get an Audio Technica ATM 25 microphone. I've used them before but I can't find them around. Guitar Center has the Pro 25 for pretty low $$$. Does anyone know if they sound significantly different? The ATM 25 d...

Re: Tchad Blake / gearlust video
I checked out the video but it's more about the song than Tchad's techniques. Kinda disapointed but it was cool seeing the inside of Real World.

Piano Microphone Bar
Hello everyone,
I remember reading somewhere (probably Tapeop) about a suspension mount or bar that hangs on the edges of a grand piano & allows you to place mic's on it. I can't seem to find a site for that bar anywhere. Does anyone know who makes it or what it's called?

Anybody know what the effect is on the John Mayer tune "Bigger Than My Body"? It sounds like some wierd arpegiator on the guitar but I can't figure it out.
