Digital interference? Ha. Their crappy code can't keep up with the audio stream, and loses sync, which is what that noise is. Probably checking if it's legit too often. Have you installed any other plug-ins recently? Possibly may be getting in a fight. Another thing that may help is making sure you ...

I'm pretty pissed at Apple for ditching the one thing I care about on the MBP. We're an all-Windows household. Despite this the wife has the MacBook Pro. The reason for this is magsafe, which is the mechanism by which Apple *formerly* made it non-problematic to trip over your power-cord. They decide...

I don't know Logic, as I avoid anything with that steep a learning curve. In the hardware world, generally you would do this by assigning tracks to a submix, which you could then assign to a master buss. It seems annoying to have to touch every channel every time you want a different monitoring situ...

Still like my Tech-21 also when going DI (less often these days).

You guys tried a RAT in front of that action? They do have settings other than ridonkulous.

Agreed. Just makes sense IMNSHO... As well as being a hosting industry best practice. "HTTPS protection [...] can protect you against eavesdropping and tampering with the contents of the site or with the information you send to the site. Ideally, this provides some protection against an attacker le...

I can vouch for the loveliness of AI-3. It is the clock source at my house. The catch is I'm stuck at 48khz. It's a pretty nice downside. I am clocking a MOTU traveller, and cascading from that a MOTU 828 mk. II. I get the occasional hiccup, but I suspect that has to do with the power situation at m...

https everywhere

Hi TapeOp folks, I love this forum. I come here daily. I'd really love it if the login screen, at the very least, were accessed via httpS, rather than http. I know we're all using unique passwords for every site, so this shouldn't be an issue, but once there is Firesheep.... https://codebutler.githu...

I think you're on the right track. This set-up looks like it should work for a lightweight, on-the-go capture situation. I worked this way for years, using an H2, or whatever else came to hand. The only consideration is making sure you pull your other inputs down so you're not accidentally capturing...

Cool post. He's my fave. My current band is covering Let's Go Crazy. We've been working on the arrangement for a month now, and we're... Pretty close. For a Prince jam. (I'm doing most of the guitar soloing on my Kurzweil. :) )

I think this tip is on the right track. I'm using an RE-20 for things that I want a little 57 vibe on, but not so much as to actually us a 57 on it.

Reaper to Ableton

New-ish to Ableton.

Have stems coming out of Reaper. Obviously I should turn off warp for longer clips that are at the same BPM. Any other tips or tricks I should be aware of?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I don't know if I count in the description, but I'm still checking in here. I consider it my home forum because the discussion has been in large part much more positive (to me) than the rest of teh intarwebz. Yeah, FB is fine if you are a conventional person. Nuff said.
