It looks like Mac designed that thing or something. But unlike you guys, I'd love to try it.

Headphone Amps, How much of a difference do they make?

Ok. So I've been looking at headphone amps with great curiosity lately. I usually mix with headphones (I know it's taboo, but I've gotten good results) and I've been wondering how much clarity I would gain from a headphone amp. I'm mixing with Sony MDR-V900 and in a short while I will probably get a...

Re: Equipment you HATE but everyone else seems to LOVE

As long we're talking about guitars...

Most Fender guitars. I hate them, but especially the Telecaster. What a piece of shit.

Just save yourselves some trouble and get a G&L. I just played a Comanche, and it was amazing.

Re: Why can't I hear the drums anymore in today's music??!

The only drummer on the radio who's made a name for himself is Travis Barker from Blink 182. He's what pretty much keeps that band together. Many of you might hate their music, but he's still amazing. But their new record falls under what Wing was talking about: you can't hear anything but the snare...

I second the Pro Tools. I absolutely hate it.

I'm a Nuendo guy.

Re: MIC REVIEW: Earthworks QTC-1

I was lucky enough to get a job at school recording the concerts put on by the music department, and we use these mics a lot for the big concert hall to record orchestras. Let me tell you, these mics pic everything up. As said earlier , these have very flat response. Unfortunately, I've never had th...

Re: Green Day's American Idiot

There's only one thing that I dislike about the mix: and that is that the bass isn't as present as some of their previous albums. But it's amazing how full everything sounds. The whole sound is amazing.

I'm 21 and know who cursive is and love all their records especially "The Storms of Early Summer." Fuck I'm trying to find new ways to make and write music. The slump is a catalyst.

Re: What Headphones are you guys using?

I think the sony dj headphones that are being talked about are the Sony MDRV700. They're cool for tracking drums eventhough they aren't completely enclosed around the ear. I've used them a while for mixing, but they aren't very accurate. I think the MDRV900s have a better response. http://www.sweetw...

Re: Music Man!

I gentlemen am also the proud owner of an RP-115, which is kind of rare actually. And the phaser is perfect. I love this amp. Such a nice clean amp. The best thing about these amps is that they're pretty reliable. More people need to be converted.
