I'd like some visual stimuli to break my brain of the standard rock gig staging of gtr amps flanking the drumkit, lead singer center stage.

I doubt a behringer pre could handle percussion transients and still offer any kind of functional signal to noise ratio. Go with the Sytek. One is better off with high end pres into low end conversion, rather than crap pre's into high end conversion. People have offered many functional options, tho...

The splitter is a very good idea. Split before you hit the pedals, thus giving the FOH a clean vox, and a separate wet signal. Then inform FOH that you prefer the vox to be wetter, rather than dryer. if in PT, can't you just use an instance of the Gain plug?

kinda silly question, but the advert blurb for TC Level Pilot mentions it as a solution for powered monitors. There's no reason why i couldn't use this before my Hafler amp feeding my tannoys, correct?
