I think my digi001 w/ my apogee trak2 will kick the shit out of this "upgrade"...If digi would actually enhance the 002 or 003 ( like 16 channels of adat etc...) I'd actually upgrade...This is the same f'ing machine as the 002....Sorry but this thing does nothing for me....

Audix OM6 dynamic mic through my apogee trak2 > Amek Neve 9098 Comp is perfection for my vocals...I dont even pull out my 414's anymore...I love it.... I must say that when I run this mic through the mackie or 001 pre's it's pretty horrid....Nice pre=nice sounding mic....At least in this case..... P...

Open ear headphones and an Apogee trak2 is an amazing combo...I've mixed really nice sounding mixes w/ this combo...If you need to mix I'd suggest you get really good d/a conversion...When I first started recording I was using the digi001 for a/d and d/a...Once I got good D/A converters my mixes act...

Oh my god..I've had the end of a headphone stuck in my 001 for the past 6 years...I swear to you...I'm going to do what you did tonight....

Get an apogee trak2...2 channel a/d....8 channel d/a.....2 mic pres...Soft limit....and much more...You can even replace the Bounce to disk function and dither w/ this unit....It's a fucking swiss army knife.....And not some cheap ass knife either....This one has the f'ing corkscrew and everything.....
