Re: DIY isobox?

The RADAR is noisy?

Is that normal, I thought it was this super expensive, creme de la creme type thing, can you ask them to repair it?

I get you wouldn't want to mess with it, but surely it should be quiet out the box?

Maybe some other RADAR owners could chip in here?

Re: DIY isobox?

So you are planning on getting silent fans, to bring air into the noisey fans, which you are hiding in a box because they are noisey.

You can see where we're all going

Re: DIY isobox?

I think the problem will always be ventilation / keeping it cool, else I'd suggest dropping it in one of those old iso speaker cabinets that seem to pop up now and again used fairly cheap.

Re: What is this kid stomping on?

It's a literal stomp box, I've seem em made out of everything from cardboard to old license plates. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/320689242721?chn=ps&dispItem=1 That one looks to have two parts, but I only hear one tone, so it's probably just a place to rest his foot and an active part. You can buy '...

Re: What should I do with this Bassman?

So now I'm thinking I'll re-wire it with these speakers in series-parallel, then build myself a small 1x12 or 1x15 cab to plug in to it when I want to use it for bass. (Don't know what I will do about live settings, but I'll worry about that later; there's nothing on the horizon). Any strong recomm...

Re: What should I do with this Bassman?

Some of them had ultralinear transformers, which may explain why they would cope with a bad mismatch, but I wouldn't push my luck, y'know.

Re: What should I do with this Bassman?

If you are sure it's wired wrongly, and the transformer is the original one, meant to push 8 ohms, then yes you should rewire it. If you want to use it for bass-y bass, get an external cabinet, and wire in a speaker jack that allows you to turn off the internal speakers. A single 15" would be my pre...

yes - not stereo patches but stereo chorus is kinda cool sometimes
Most stereo chorus has a mono in, maybe just get a Y-cable if you want an easy fix without tearing the thing apart.

Re: Choosing the Right Monitors

There was a high end monitor review, in a recent edition of the magazine, where the reviewer stated that these were the first monitors that sounded better than his Behringer Truth 2032's (I think that was the model #) and went on to explain that the original passive versions of these sounded amazing...

Re: Keeping a DeltaLab Super Time Line alive

It kinda sounds like it has aged perfectly, perhaps you should consider keeping it, in it's current unpredictable state?

Put it this way, if I had one, that was working correctly, I'd trade you in a heartbeat.

Re: looking an uneven WAV files

Have you checked it's not just a DC offset?

Mine you can see, the wave envelope is square in the middle, but the fringe of the waveform, which are the peaks, are larger on one side.

You could run it thru a DC Offset remover, and it should sound the same, but maybe look different?
