Because Lavry AD only goes to 96kHz and some labels have decided in their infinite wisdom to offer 192kHz recordings. Hence the Lavry owners cry about having to replace their lush AD with something else. That said I'd assume ultimately the quality goes down when they replace those Lavrys with someth...

I have had the DT880 for 10 years or so now. Very nice cans for general listening but I wouldn't pick them for mixing. They are a bit too "nice" sounding, imo. At the very least you would need some grot box to reference against. Also they cut the background noise hardly at all. My reference cans for...

In my opinion if you and your friend have very little knowledge of sound, you should hire a professional. Popping sounds from the lapel mic are usually due to mounting issues. A foam cap might help some or changing the mic itself. Other than that it would be pretty tough to say anything definitive w...

The DPA 4061 is a miniature mic that actually sounds great. It will have a lot more applications than just your wedding. Congratulations, by the way. :) The more common cheap lavalieres I see around are the Sony UWP and Sennheiser EW series. I'm not particularly keen on either but they work. The (ne...

There's a schema on page 7 how to connect the wires. Punch some pins through card with the right spacing, glue it up in epoxy and make yourself new connectors + wires.

Their marketing copy says: iD22 provides two classic Audient microphone preamplifiers - the same pre amps that have become renowned with over 50,000 channels in use worldwide. I've really liked the Audient stuff I've used. Some people I know aren't so keen because they are pretty clinical, and also ...
