Doves (the band)
Alright people, I have "UTFSF", I have searched far and wide on the WWW and nearly everywhere else. So my question is this: Does anyone know, have a link to, book resource, ANYTHING about the making of Doves 1st album 'Lost Souls'. Special point of interest to me is how they achieved the ENORMOUS ba...

Re: commercials are loud.
Obnoxiously loud and images-moving-too-quickly commercials are one of the primary reasons I no longer watch television, let alone the piss poor programming. Soundguy mentioned using a limiter in another post about movies being "really loud". Never thought about that...it would be nice while watching...

Try it both ways and listen to the results you get on the same sound source, mic position, setting, ammount of food in your stomach etc. and tell us what you heard.Rolsen wrote:...does something good or bad happen if I don't?

Re: Why?
Yikes yikes yikes! How did my avatar change gross!
This one will have to do until I can find out how and why my avatar inexplicably changed on it's own to a very close and explicit view of the female naughty bits. Yikes that was shocking.

Re: Why?
A reaction is sought from this individual. No reaction, no fun. Don't react, don't reply, don't acknowledge and this stops. I know it requires a tremendous ammount of self control not to use your wit and sarcasm to lay into this person but really, what I gather from their posts is that they simply w...

Re: Pacific Pro Audio R-one Ribbon mic?
Ahh, I see. Thank you, my mistake. I intended to send a link to the thread that Sserendipity had created, "...if you're in read this". See if that would have been pointed out instead of bashing me then the further confusion would have been avoided quick fast and in a hurry. see, I thought like sser...

Re: Pacific Pro Audio R-one Ribbon mic?
Hey Devlars, I think Serendipity was referring to the fact that your link points to the Nickleback thing and not another forum. Maybe that was your intention? Ahh, I see. Thank you, my mistake. I intended to send a link to the thread that Sserendipity had created, "...if you're in read this". See i...

Re: Tape-Op Co-Op ideas
Any business that I can direct towards FMR I will gladly do it, Mark is a great guy and very helpful. But I had said the RNP would be nice, not the RNC. How much could they seriously mark the RNC down when it's already a mere $175 through Mercenary. Not that I wouldn't go for another RNC (I love min...

Ha ha you can find it on the Rexrode forum. Thanks Trashy, I hated that the first post I read this morning was a bash from a perfect stranger.trashy wrote:you, sir, are an interesting gentleman. I'd like to subscribe to your weekly newsletter.

Re: PPA or Direct POLL.
Sserendipity, I understand where you are coming from now. A miscommunication and nothing more. I agree a special TapeOp edition label would make this whole fiasco all the more memorable. Fast forward 20-30 yeasrs down the time line: Friend 1 brags to friend 2 - "Yeah man I just snagged one of the Ta...

Re: Pacific Pro Audio R-one Ribbon mic?
Well, I've heard back regarding shipping, and by sea turns out to be real reasonable. If were to do it ourselves, These could be delivered to everyone for $90 each. This includes manufacturing, shipping, broker fees and customs, and shipping within the US. Air freight would be a little more reasona...

I'm in for one pair and I can pay...once all the details are sorted out.

I still have reservations about this as things seem to sway to and fro as for how exactly this will be carried out, as signorMars also posted.

Pardon me PPA but I wanted to draw your attention to this related thread and see if it is in line with the offer that you have graciously put forward. You bastard. You complete and utter bastard!@!!!
