You could probably get 2 gigs of memory instead of 4 and be good to go and save a couple hundred. I think its just because mboxes suck. When I cranked it on a digi002 it sounded fine.

I am mixing in Pro Tools and it sounds good up until about 4 o'clock on the volume knob for the mbox. I am using headphones. When it gets up to that level it starts breaking up. Is that from the lower frequencies fighting against each other or what?
