Re: biasing a fender vibrosonic
Yes, the vibrosonic is the same as the twin chassis. Facing the back of the amp. The bias pot should be on the bottom of the chassis inbetween the transformers behind the power tubes. You can adjust it without removing the chassis. If the adjustment is not there, I would suppose the amp has been alt...

Re: What's THEE MONSTER new synth out there right now ?
I love the moogs, ms-20 etc and I own several old analog synths. I'm also very familiar with MS-2000's and Nord Lead and modular. I'll have to tell you the Alesis Andromena is it. It's fully analog and polyphonic and a full complement of assignable knobs with modern midi capabilities. Plus it sounds...

Re: I beat FarCry
Yeah, the camera. If it didn't go to that crappy first person mode everytime you tried to move it, it would be better. I hate it when I'm gettin my butt hacked off by some ninja in the corner I can't even see.
All in all, it's pretty good though.

Re: I beat FarCry
I play mostly console games. Right now I'm playing Ninja Gaiden which is so hard I swear Ninja's are going to come running into my house and kill me. I'm also playing back through Knights of the Old Republic as an evil/dark side guy. It's great. I've been watching E3 updates. Halo 2. God! November c...

Re: How do I use my Twin Reverb as a reverb effects unit?
The twin sends and returns the signal to the Reverb tank via RCA jacks. Typically the jacks are right next to the amps pedal inputs for the rev/vibrato switch. If you have a reissue twin they may be something other than RCA jacks. You might be able to use the tank by itself utilizing the input outpu...

Re: Singer had this forward thinking idea
After catching, sinus infections and other horrible ailments while playing out and using "communal" microphones. I bought a plain old vanilla 58. I now use it religiously live. Before that I carried a tooth brush and some rubbing alcohol in all the band crap. Sure the microphone smelled like a hospi...

A quote from the website:

I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that.

Re: What 3 songs keep your rock alive?
Okay some of this is beyond R&R but it gets my rock on.
1. A tie, Two songs by Bark Market, Visible Cow and Johnny Shiv
2. Helmet, I Know, the opening drums are sick.
3. Zeppelin, Immigrant Song...and well lot's of others by them.
4. AC/DC, Angus Young just rocks.

Re: Do you remember your first ever?
Two guitars my dad bought at an auction for me. A black LP copy that said "state of the art" on the headstock where gibson would be. A red Strat copy made by hondo (no, not honda) I think my dad paid 150 for both. I had the black LP copy for quite some time. I remember playin' "Sweet Child O' Mine" ...

Re: Fender-type or Gibson-type?
I own both.
The scale of neck makes a big difference for me.
For jazzy clean stuff my gibson style guitar (epi howard roberts)
is great.
When it comes down to it, I like Fenders the most.
I own two Strats and a jazzmaster. It's really hard to do the surfy jangle tone on an LP.

Re: Vox AC30 or Fender Twin...
The major deterrent to owning a vox for me is - the price. Now if I could find a deal I might buy one. A deal would be similar to what I got my twin for...400 bucks. Vintage voxes go for insurmountable sums, due to the incredible hype surrounding the name. The reissues cost nearly as much...even us...

Re: Vox AC30 or Fender Twin...
I own a very early 70's twin and a mid 70's super. I love 'em both. My twin sounds suspiciously different than most. It breaks up earlier. It does have some of that signature fender flabiness, but that's what the EQ section of your amp is for. I'm pretty sensitive to treble and tend err on the very ...

Re: Don't do this!
Well, I don't know what amp that came out of, but that doesn't look like a fuse I use in any of mine. That looks to be an automotive 10-20 amp fuse. Way big. So, wrong fuse strike one. A rusty bolt to keep the fuse in the socket? That thing is plastic for a reason. Strike two. Tin foil/aluminum foil...

Re: Lets Talk Games
Yeah, I play a lot of Xbox. Some GBA Lately, I've played a lot of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II. Soul Caliber II Knights of the Old Republic Halo I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein last night. I didn't really dig it. I think in some ways I've been ruined by Halo. As far as first person shooters...
