When do you think we're going to see the Digi 003?

Hey guys, I'm interested in a protools set up, but at this point I can't justify it looking at the strength of their pro-sumer products. Why buy a Digi 002r when I can get the Mackie 400f with better pres, convertors, and a lower price? I like protools as software, and it's nice to not worry about c...

I love that album too. It's a little too long with some thin spots, but I really think "Care of Cell 44" is one of the best songs like....ever.

Thanks! Yup, we used the C1 on all the vocals. The pres were just the mediocre pres that came with the M-Audio Firewire 410 we recorded on. We didn't track with compression and I forget what Larry used at the studio. My rough mixes sounded ok before coming in, and we mixed the whole record in 1.5 da...

corporations used to have an obligation to society... now their only obligation is to the shareholders. even if a decision/policy goes against what's best for society, they're legally obligated to put the shareholder first. it's a broken system. broken from the beginning. it all starts with the fal...

Hey guys, I recorded 9/10 songs on my LP using only the C1 and an SM-57, so I have alot of material if you're interested. We used the 57 almost exclusively on snare drums and electric guitars. Here are some examples- http://www.cataldomusic.com/weddingcake.mp3 -Everything except the drums which were...

The Standard TOMB responses:

1.)What will you be recording? Everyones voice is different.

2.)Try some out and see what you like.

3.)What do you have already?

4.)Don't you want a new preamp instead? ;)

So many... Ryan Adams- Heartbreaker. It's interesting to me that people list so much different Ryan Adams material as they all sound so different. The production on this one was never topped IMO. Sly and the Family Stone- Fresh. The arrangements are spot on (and expertly performed). Drums sounds als...

I don't know if Pet Sounds is a great example for this discussion. Didn't they record that on a 4-track, bouncing all the instruments to one track and leaving 3 for vocals? So at most we're talking about 7 tracks going at once. 7 marvelously recorded tracks, but the "Stack up" phenomenon wouldn't a...

As someone mentioned, if Pet Sounds is considered murky, then it's a good murky. I don't know if Pet Sounds is a great example for this discussion. FS: Great Condition Fender Clapton Sig. Strat

Great guitar with the latest generation vintage noiseless pickups. Super clean with only a tiny amount of playing wear. I switched to a tele shortly after buying so this guitar has seen almost exclusively the inside of my house. Never used in a smoking environment. Willing to deal with shipping, but...

They record and mix themselves in their own space. Always have, so I believe. Ya....pretty good stuff. I know Tiny Telephone lists them as an artist that's recorded there with Jay Pellicci as the engineer. I don't know what album that was for, but someone could email him for further details. http:/...

Weak sauce. I want individual .wav files to tool around with. To think I'm going to be receiving Paul McCartney updates for the rest of my days because of this.....
