Since nobody else has responded I'll chime in. In order to properly answer your question I would like to know a bit more about your setup and what exactly you are recording. Also knowing your budget would be useful for providing recommendations. Having a stereo pair is certainly beneficial and opens...

Yeah I know, I previously purchased one like that. I needed another to complete a pair and since everything was for one project I was hoping maybe I could pick one up on the used market for less.

Behringer ADA8000 Question

So I'm putting together a mobile rig and just picked up a 002R and wanted something to expand the I/O. My question is this, are the converters in the ADA8000 better, worse or the same as the converters in the 002R? Also, I was thinking about picking up something a bit more high end like an apoggee u...

Rack Mount Case For PC

Right Now I have a regular old tower for my PC. It's a homebrew with a regular motherboard, CPU, RAM etc... My question is, I want to put it into a rack mount chasis to make it a little more portable, so what type of rack mount case do I need and where can I get one on the cheap?

Tools are tools, some are better than others but a true artist can make a masterpiece out of anything. Nice recording btw.

Here I found this: http://tonepad.brinkster.net/photoessay.asp?photoEssayID=9&sequenceNo=1 Use metal film resistors if you want the standard mod. I think for the brown sound most of the modders just use some carbon comp ones. As for the opamp, you don't have use the japanese or TI 4558, there are ot...

If you can solder definitly do it yourself. All you need is 2 resistors and an opamp. I recommend a socket too so you can audition different opamps and decide which one you like the best. I can't recall the resistor values offhand but they are common values you could easily find at radio shack or or...

I think pres, DIs and mics are a dime a dozen but like cgarges said a nice 2 channel comp that would fill the void between RNCs/DBX160s and something like a distressor/1176 would be great. I don't tend to find many 2 channel comps in the $500-$1500 range, especially in the new market that are really...

RNC is sold. I've gotten some inquiries about the other stuff but nothing has sold yet. If I don't have any concrete offers by Friday everything is going up on ebay. I might have a few extra hosa TRS snakes and some midi cables if anyone is interested. I'm up in the air about selling my behringer ul...

I think the answer to your question is a bit subjective. Why don't you try taking 1 song, mix it entirely in the box, just with outboard and a combination of both and see what approach works best for you. I agree with Blade that it's the ear not the gear that's important so ultimately what you have ...

I just started going through things so there will be more soon but here is a few things I know I don't need. 1) FMR Audio RNC w/power supply. Used but in great condition - $130 ...
