Sounds like you're good. I have an 880, to me, it's sure worth the money. Ymmv. I have a Bla modded Focusrite pro 40, too, but it's only got one adat out. So it's limited to 8 adat @ 48k or 4 @ 96. The Asp 880 wants to be the adat or word clock master. The pro 40 has Adat I/O and works in standalone...

Email

An email showed up yesterday from Harrison. Mixbus 3 has been released. Asio, vst, vsti, multi-processor support. I'm working on my room, so wil update when that's done. From initial reports, win 10 seems to be working pretty well out of the gate, with a few interface problems, and Osx a few more. L...

I run a RME RayDat on my live PC, and unfortunately, they let me down with no drivers past XP for my original hammer fall 96/52. That's a fail to me. I can't speak to other brands.

I have a MacBook Air 11 inch, and MagSafe works just fine. I bought it to use with the UAD Twin. I use it with VSL Pro 5 to run soft synths and the ensemble on an 8 core Amd PC I already had. With VSL and UAD plugs, the I5 Air is plenty of processor and has the Thunderbolt required.

They have a long ways to go to get me to upgrade from 11 to 12. Uad plugs are really good, especially the mkii versions.

The Studio Projects B1&B3 have very low noise floors. Add your choice of after market k47 capsules and you have a nice pair, though not perfectly matched. Ears can do quite a bit for that.

I use a dbx 296 spectral enhancer after a dual 31 band graphic for feedback cuts for FOH. The worse the club or room the more it helps restore the sound without feedback. Also use a dbx 120a on the kick, and line mix that with the bass to feed the subs, live. I've used the 296 on 4 track recording, ...

I'm using a Novation 61 MkII. I like the action on it over the Roland JX8P and line 6 kb37 I have, but I'm just a guitar guy.

Iconnect 2 & 4 could be used to add more pc/mac/ios devices, plus legacy midi and wireless or hardwired midi, as many as you like (it appears) plus audio pass thru [composite device] along with the audio/midi iconnect 4 unit for even more. What a time for musicians we are living in! It appears proce...

Hi, I have one, and love it! With console 2 coming out in March, you'll be able to add more apollos in a chain on the thunderbolt line. I have an audient asp 880 for my adat add on mic pres/converters. Yeah, the 16 is converters only, so you would need outboard pres or line level devices for it. The...

Jamkazam

I happened across Jamkazam surfing yesterday. Jamkazam.com They claim 10 ms. latency at up to 500 miles with a hardwired net connection, no wireless, and a fast interface. Daw ops are probably pre-geared for this. It's in Beta now, and a free download. It looks like it might be useful.
