I wanna hear both sets of bass pedals being played at once! You don't hear them, you feel them... (Whoever thought a CRT would make ya nostalgic?) "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" I get a lot of comments on that vintage CRT, yet few people recognize 1993-circa WFW311 running my MIDI sequ...

I used to deliver pianos. Once, sitting in the passenger seat checking the map for directions, the driver took off abruptly, and the piano that I was supposed to be holding onto flew back and fell from vertical onto its keys. In the small space of the cargo van, the noise was deafening but incredib...

Sony is both a content and entertainment device provider. This combination has proven to be very hostile to the consumer and professional market because the content division doesn't want the entertainment device division to release a product that would enable pirating in the least. Sony hates the re...

And retro monitors to boot. My MIDI system is running Cakewalk Pro Audio 3.5 on Windows For Workgroups 3.11 - a 1993 era system. I do not need plugins - I prefer hardware. I do not engage in sample editing - I am an accomplished player and can perform my parts without editing. WFW311 has less crap ...

Has it ever occurred to you that I am not just speaking to experienced users or to you alone? Would you like me to edit my original post to include the question "Hey bros, do you think I could make a better recording with a 688 or a new iMac and Mbox?" so as to appropriately trigger your response? ...

But in all seriousness, I would not stay with the cassette format for long. It is just sonically inferior to modern DAW, is not designed for long term storage, and cassette tapes have been an obsolete format for at least a decade. Uh...thanks...that concurs from what I've been able to find on the i...

Stick with good brands like TDK or Maxell. Anything less doesn't last as long and will suffer from dropouts. Do not use tapes longer than 60min. In order to make the longer tapes fit in the shell, the media is thinner and will be vulnerable to getting "eaten" by the tape mechanism. But in all seriou...
