Hi, I'm helping a friend with a website, we want to sell CDs and possibly mp3s. We would very much prefer to do it ourselves, or at least as far away from "the man" as possible. Is PayPal avoidable? cheap karaoke mics with built in fx can be awesome. distortion, robot voice, delays, etc. I've seen these things stored in road cases worth much more than the things cost.

The Nak MR-2 I had sounded awesome with tapes made in other decks, and sounded awesome with tapes made with it. Where it fell apart was in making tapes and playing them in other decks; always really disappointing. I sold it and got one of these after hearing it at another studio... http://cgi.ebay.c...

Sounds really nice. I like the pads up too...

When the vocal gets loud it gets a bit distorted and compressed. Was it recorded that way, or is that the toft on mixdown? (or some combo of both?)

If you've got a Bryston laying about... ;) You can use the Rat Shack in-line fuse holders (never liked the sound, but good for visitors, or basics getting drum sounds) on the red going into the speaker.
