so, people, how was it? i live mine. they have a steep learning curve though. They are nothing like a distressor. They excell at being very tastefully transparent. ie the compression is transparent and very smooth but the overall sound of the circuit is very rich and flattering. I love them on voca...

whew, that Alex is really an awful reverb. No offense Inverse... but whew. i got this Boss SX700 at Guitar Center in the mid-90's to use as a gtr effects processor before i was really into recording (i was maybe 15 at the time). Turns out it was Boss's only "pro audio" FX unit. I still have it, and ...

Beyer M380, TGX50, M201, M88 AKG D112, D12E EV RE20 Shure SM77 Those have all worked for me at one time or another. Isn't the Stedman a condenser? Chris Garges Charlotte, NC Hey Chris, No, the Stedman's a dynamic, at least the N-90 is. The body and forward address capsule make it look like a conden...

I've had the best luck with a D112. That mic really sounds wonderful on bass. I just had a recent mixing session where i had a soundelux u195 on one bass speaker and a d112 on the other. I didn't even end up using the u195 in the final mixes. The D112 in this particular case had a more defined botto...

i think your marketing catch phrase "Train you ears for success!" is really deceiving. It didn't take me very long to realize that although having "good ears" i important, it actually has practically nothing to do with success. Being honest, diligent, reliable, open minded and facilitating are far m...
