You can do this with Vegas 4, but my computer (1.4 AMD / 512sdram) is not able to do this while recording.

One other reason to stick with the newer drivers:

If the program you are using can take advantage of the ASIO drivers, (available in the newest echo drivers) use them. I'm using Vegas 4, and switching vegas to use the ASIO drivers has helped me with some glitches.
