Do you know anything about the 2882? Does it accept more analog ins?

I am considering buying the ULN 2 but I am wondering about bypass. I was told that you can bypass the pres and just use the converters by not firing up the MIO software based console. What if I want to use some of the ULN's pres in conjunction with my outboard pres? Is there any way to do that?

I am sorry to find so many people aggrivated by such a simple question about which pre to buy. I guess its like trying to teach a kid to tie his shoes again...

the mbox is great for beginners. you can't beat the price for all that you get, but the pres are flat and boring for any long term/serious use. I bought one in December--am a beginner--and have already decided to move on.
