Re: Not so dry basement. HELP Please!

Well considering we got SOO much rain here in baltimore. I wouldn't think it would leak much more than it did. So I guess I'm going to have to skip out on the whole RECORDING other people thing and go for the cramped project studio float. baltimore sucks! Old ugly ass good for Nothing Shit town. goi...

Edirol question

I dont have anything to mix down to. So I was thinking about picking up the Edirol A/D USB adapter that runs around 75$ for my laptop. I can just run the stereo out from my board to the computer and record stereo. Is this a good idea? Anyone else do this?

Re: Another "check out my crappy music" request

The only thing I don't really like is the snare. I think a deeper snare would sound better. It sounds too poppy to me. But it does stand out in the mix. I think its a good job though.

MIC N' tactics. (Ignore this thread)

What's your favorite overhead mic and setup? I don't really have one yet. But, as of now I use a Samson LD all over the place. I'm just looking to see how others do it. Also, what's a good way to reduce an overly present kick and snare? Just realized that Im starting to post stupid questions. I need...

Re: The Beatles vs. The Beach Boys

I recently bought revolver and petsounds and this is the first time listeners point of view. Revolver is without a doubt easier to listen to. The beatles are RIGHT THERE in your face. I was amazed 30 seconds into the first song. I kept panning from left to right listening to the mix. It's easy for m...

Reverb tank

I recently came across a free Hammond reverb tank. It has RCA in/out. I have never used one and don't know how to.I tried hooking it up to my aux and of course there isn't enough power. I don't have much outboard gear so next I tried aux out into my microverb for a boost. I turned the mix down and t...

Re: Not so dry basement. HELP Please!

ok. here is some new info on the not so dry basement. I went away for the weekend. came back to another puddle. it isn't huge. It would take weeks of heavy rain to fill the whole basement with 2 inches. This time I placed some rugs around in the basement to try to see were the water is coming from. ...

Re: RNC/ Really Nice Compressor

Humbucker sells it for 175 free shipping. The guy or guys there are REALLY GREAT! Last time I ordered somthing from their site the guy called me 15 minutes later to confirm everything. which is unherd of. they don't have a whole lot there, but if they have what you need its the place to get it.

Re: Looking for some feedback...

what are you useing to make those? Are you just putting samples in your order? Or are you making your own? If your doing it yourself and useing a microphone its pretty cool. Now go find some people to rap to it.
