Well, as a little follow up I was looking into some of these and found out that a studio I know some people at is selling off an excess mutator (they had 2 for some reason?). I pick it up monday. I may be in debt, but I'm predicting hours and hours of fun time overusing the thing in the near future....

Guitar Geek Question - Filter Effects
I'm looking for suggestions for a good filter/synth effect to use on guitar. I'm hoping to find something between a EH Microsynth and a Sherman Filterbank. I know this isn't so much a recording question as it is a guitar question, but I figure people here have more interesting answers. Thanks.

I know it's a little bit out of your desired price range, but I also just did a record using a Blue Mouse on the bass (through focusrite pres) and it sounds amazing. Huge and warm. Possibly the best bass sound I've ever gotten. Plus, it's another mic to use for vocals (you never can tell what's gonn...
