ive been trying to figure out how to get a new console for a while but now i'm thinking i might work with what i have and get that langely mod for it. getting excited!

yea i've considered recapping. is there a preference in type of cap? how many per mix/line pre?

I have a Tac Scorpion. Some of the channels are at a good level, others need to be cranked, thus getting really noisey. I do have one totally broken channel in there. Do you think removing that would help the quieter channels? Why are all of my channels sounding different?

wow. this is great. i've always loved this mic. i traded a broken moog opus 3 for it years ago and havnt regreted it since. anyway.. what tubes would you recomend trying? i have an old RCA lying around.. i could pop that in it and see what happens. eventually i'd love to get a NOS tele or something....

im very interested in the capsule replacement thing. the stock capsule is so tiny. i'd imagine one of their newer, larger ones couldn't suck.
