I understand the why, but if it's not something that is part of the board software, or necessary to fix some relatively painful problem(I'm lookin at you, spammers), I really don't have the bandwidth to code and maintain custom add ons.

I have turned off user registration via email confirmation to try and fight this. This means I'm now looking at every user registration. There are various authentication means(capcha, etc.), most are circumventable by bots. As a starting point, I changed the question asked when registering. I guess ...

As a heads up, I'll be integrating the ad server that runs on the main tapeop.com into the messageboard over the next couple days.

I think it's done in a way that's not too painful, and meets the needs of keeping the board readable, and keeping the board alive.

follow the post title out to the right, and click the grey exclamation point (report this post). It may give some options for type, or the ability to add a note as to why you are reporting it.

On a smart phone, there should be an ellipse (...) icon, under which you can choose report post.

is the mega board the "new posts" link that used to be in the top right corner? where you could click it and any new post since you'd last been on would appear? New posts is still there. I had that thought as well.

Perhaps it's time to bring back General Recording, and merge some of the forums.

I can float the idea around. Feel free to comment here if you have merger proposals.
