Hmmm, you got me then. I'm pretty new to Logic myself, that was just the first thing that came to mind. You might just check your sync setting for midi, but I can't say I've run into that particular problem on playback before.

Forgive me if you've already tried this, but you may want to open up the Settings menu and check under Recording to see if you have a count off or pre-roll enabled. If your do it will start that specified amount of time (or count) before recording, then loop to the exact specified start point the se...

It's the push button version, I was thinking of just offering it up for $100 plus shipping, but I hadn't bothered to take pics and list it yet. I'm slowly sorting through the pile of unused compressors right now.

There are some trades I would consider. I'm looking for a pair of Oktava MC012s or some other comparable quality SDC pair.

Added a second DBX 160A, in very good condition (both bought at the same time in identical condition). Some price updates as well.

Listening to the songs now. Sounds good, the guitar and bass sound thick and heavy but still have a lot of clarity. The drums sound a little more roomy than I would go with, but it all works together as an energetic performance. Cool stuff man, thanks for sharing. Any plans for vocals or is it going...

Are you sure about that? I'm looking at a 16 bit/44k.1 kHz wav file right now, 7.316666 minutes, 73.8 MB file size. So roughly 10 MB/min. It was recorded at 24 bit and bounced down to a 16 bit stereo wav, in Logic 9 in OS X Snow Leopard. Not being smarmy/sarcastic, I know very little about sample ra...

From my point of view as a musician and not an engineer, I've definitely experienced the other side of the issue Gregg brought up. I'm primarily a bass player and in past band I've spent considerable time crafting my tone to fit (what I felt was) perfectly in the band for the overall song and my par...

Add my opinion to the "honest, polite, direct" pile. Sometimes musicians are fantastic players and just don't fit a band. I've played in plenty of bands with a very particular sound that players better than myself just didn't "click" with, it happens.
