I need some piano tracks pitch-shifted a few cents:

Hi ya'll I've been recording a beautiful old piano which is unfortunately about 12 cents out of tune many of the songs we're working with. I've been using the included pitch shifting plug-in in my DAW (Tracktion) and it doesn't sound great and messes with the timing if there's more than a few edits....

I'll just chime in with the other guys who mentioned using the mics you have. I'm not at all certain of your overall set up (Project studio? Home recording for yourself?), but if I had your mics (which I'm sort of close to) I'd be looking at other things. CD production cost, mastering for two projec...

I just want to say I really love Okkervil River. This sounds like a great night, I assume in Austin. Good luck, I wish I could go!

Here's a guy selling his vox jaguar. I don't know what they normally go for, but 125 doesn't seem like much of a risk.

-I have global phantom power on my interface pres. -When I use a mixture of condensers and dynamics the global phantom adds an annoying hum to the dynamics. -I bought one of these hoping to solve the problem and get some extra gain out of my SM7. -It's so noisy. Significantly more noisy than the hum...

Prince was great? Yikes, our opinions differ... I missed Billy Joel. Appears that it was a good thing I did. My friend made a joke 15 minutes into the game that he was probably out crashing his car somewhere  I agree about prince. Guy can sing, he's a great guitar player, but it all just wasn'...

I actually only have the omnis (long story) but I really like them alot. Not that much attack, no surprise there, but I LOVE them on piano, and I imagine they'd be nice as overheads on the right kit. They're cheap so why not?

I always thought it sounded like he was using an EHX POG. But I could be wrong. Brilliant song, brilliant performance. Sent chills up my spine first time I heard it. Buckley died years before the POG was a blip on Mike Matthews' radar screen. You're right about the chills, though. A man and a guita...

So true, Joe. When I just got an M49, it cost SERIOUS money, but I didnt feel like that money was out the window, at all. It feels like money in the bank when you get an amazing piece. You know you can sell a classic neumann microphone for at LEAST what you bought it for, even like one minute after...

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry, I should have been slightly more clear: The whine does not come from the physical unit, but rather occurs in the recording itself. It does stop when you shut the phantom off. I've switched cables and circuits, no help. Sort of a bummer. I have a big, fairly import...

High Frequency noise while using phantom with a dynamic

Hi guys, So I'd really like to be able to use my SM7 while using other phantom powered dynamic mics. I use a mackie 400f, and just for the hell of it I tried turning the phantom on with my sm7. It functioned perfectly well except for a HF whine, just loud enough to make it useless. I bought a RODE p...

You could set aside 1300 bucks to replicate a CD. You'd still be able to buy something fun with the rest of the dough and give yourself a reason to make some damn good recordings. Just an idea.
