that's awesome, every time i see posts like this i always wonder why i am never lucky enough to run across anything that cool, and then i have to remind myself that i found that there just happened to be an otari mx 5050 2 track machine and a decent upright piano buried in a corner of the basement ...

I've also posted this into that _other_ forum (but really prefer TOMB over all else...) Okay I'm trying to break down the 12-15 songs we're attempting into a production based schedule thing. Imagining that all drums, bass, guitars will have to be tracked within the first two weeks. Vocals, horns etc...

Yes: Audio Damage's Rough Rider (free) http://www.audiodamage.com/ There is a pro version that sounds like it will do whatever the Rocket can't to get you closer to that holy grail of Blockfish. As far as I know though there are none that boost the high/air frequencies like BF did. BTW, I'm right th...

Thanks Dave, was a great time! That dulcitar amazed me!

Next month I'd love to host, but I'm afraid I might be knee-deep in recording or mixing as we're doing the RPM Challenge thing.

Could always aim for a first weekend in March thing?

Musicians Fiend had refurb Nocturns for $109 without free shipping and no tax (at least for my state). I jumped. I'm so eager to get rid of the mouse when mixing. I'll report back after I use it for a while, but from the look of things I'm going to be happy.

Wow, can't believe the number of responses from this sleepy town! I'm down for either night, and thanks to Dave for providing the space. I'm all for volunteering my space next time, provided it doesn't flood again (lots of sympathy round here)! It's in a Shockoe Bottom basement. Cheers, gang! Hey Ad...

Oh man from one Richmonder to another that sucks. We're in a basement, which provides immense privacy from other bands/noises. Our space flooded twice (from the ground up) in three years and then just last week my attached workshop got water damage from a roof leak FOUR FLOORS above. Needless to say...

Decided to take February off from refinishing the house to have all of my free-time to devote to RPM 2009. Jeff Wow, you've got ambition, Jeff kudos for that (even though I generally hate that word). All we're going to do is 4 full Sundays and the occasional Wednesday or two for mixing. Hoping to g...
